AHA Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid with CPR/AED Online This self-directed course is designed to prepare students to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This course offers the basics of recognizing and administering first aid for the most common life-threatening emergencies involving children. Some rescuers are required to take this course to comply with State and Federal regulations. This course provides integrated training in First Aid for Children, CPR and use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
This course is intended for any individual required to obtain certification in Pediatric First Aid and CPR, such as Daycare & Childcare Providers and Teachers. Not intended for emergency medical professionals.
Part 1 must be paired with a hands-on skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with an Instructor. Students who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate that allows them entrance to a skills practice and testing session. A certification card will be issued upon successful completion of all three parts.
